Shortcut Chicken Cordon Bleu

Boneless chicken breasts are quickly sautéed and topped with a mouthwatering sauce starring cream of chicken soup, white wine, ham and Swiss cheese.

1 tablespoon butter  

4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves  (about 1 pound)

1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Chicken Soup (Regular or 98% Fat Free)

2 tablespoon water

2 tablespoon Chablis or other dry white wine

1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese

1/2 cup chopped cooked ham

4 cups medium egg noodles, cooked and drained

  • Heat the butter in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat.  Add the chicken and cook for 10 minutes or until well browned on both sides.
  • Stir the soup, water, wine, cheese and ham in the skillet and heat to a boil.  Reduce the heat to low.  Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.  Serve the chicken and sauce with the noodles.

    It's very fast and delicious. I will definitely make it again. I cut the chicken up and next time I am going to add the pasta to the sauce and stir before serving. I made it in non-stick dutch oven.

    This is my fiance's FAVORITE!! I servew this with an egg noodle recipe with parmesean cheese and garlic salt, and also a baked potato with broccoli and cheese filling!

    I used sliced ham and sliced swiss cheese and layed them over the chicken and simmered it. I would definitely make this for company!
